Day Two—Canada Won
Hello cold front, and welcome to our bus June Carter—the first thing that rolled through my mind Friday morning after my alarm went off at 8 in the morning and I remembered that I had to feed the meter. What a great first night, now I'm ready for today. After sleeping in between meter feedings for a few hours Jonny and I, who slept on the bus, rolled out and hit a Dominos. So we had some great lunch. But after that we rolled down to the apartments of two friends of ours, Matt and Zoe, where everyone else was staying.
Upon the walk Jonny and decided on a smoke on the patio where we discussed our side project genre called, Ambifolkabillytronica over the beautiful Toronto skyline. We were now prepared to shoot down to Lee's Palace where we would be closing out the Billions showcase that had a killer lineup including The Acorn and The Russian Futurists just to name a few. Then there was a sound, a deep growling like a werewolf about to pounce on a small creature from the planet of Nebulanausington, The Planet. It was my ever growing hunger and it needed a fix. Off Israel and I hit the town and found some fantastic pizza.
Full belllies, and some discovering of what "frings" were, time to play a show. At 2 in the morning we broke out da jams! It was perfect background music for the crowd of drunks bouncing out the door. But the crew at Lee's Palace were some of the straight up schwayest guys we've met in Canada. Definitely one of the funnest shows on this tour as well. Well, it was time to crash in our cave-like bus and await day three. Which I am currently smack in the middle of, and i can't wait for tomorrow's recaaaaaaap!!!!!! BOOM CITY! Yes church, I know. What you are saying. Ride the wave!
