				"Ready for the Floor" by Hot Chip

Arguably the only song on Hot Chip's Made In The Dark that is an automatic fan favourite, "Ready for the Floor" has quickly become another Hot Chip classic. 

The boys from London stuck to what they know best for their second single off the new record, mixing lead singer Alexis Taylor's familiar soft vocals with bubbly electro-pop, and throwing in geeky romantic yearning into the recipe. The lyrics will make you think of those uncomfortable high school dances or the awkward dancefloor arguments that seem to happen every weekend at the bar. In complete contrast, the catchy beats will dare you to not move some part of your body in rhythm to the music.

And it all seems to be working - "Ready for the Floor" has garnered Hot Chip a Grammy nod for Best Dance Recording, up against the likes of Daft Punk and Madonna.
