R. Kelly is Back in The Closet
Since its premiere in 2005, "Trapped in the Closet" has become a huge surprise hit. Happily, R. Kelly has announced that his "hip-hopera" will continue, with 15 more chapters finished and on the way. Last week, Kelly posted on Twitter; "I just finished up fifteen more chapters, but before I start releasing this stuff, I need to know... you know I'm at my best when I'm wanted... I need to know if this is what you want from me. Y'all let me know, 'cause I'm ready." So, find a way to show the man some love so he doesn't hold out on us.
Howard Stern on American Idol?
Now that Simon Cowell is leaving American Idol, there's an opening for a confrontational loud-mouth, and the Internet rumour-mill has kicked into gear. One of the biggest contenders appears to be the king of shock-radio, Howard Stern. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but reports indicate that producers are very keen to add Stern to the show but he is reluctant. Stern recently said on his Sirius Radio show that he had been "approached by a major TV network to take over a TV show" but that he turned it down. Good for you, Howard!
Seven Massive Attack Short-Films on the Way
We were already pretty excited about the new Massive Attack album, Heligoland (released yesterday), but now there's even more to look forward to. The band has enlisted seven indie filmmakers to choose a song from the album and make a short film in their own particular style. All of the films will be available on the bands Tweatre account (a branch of Twitter), and the hope is they will "spark emotion, passion and thought within viewer's minds, and provoke a response, one which they can express through a tweet to a global audience." Four of the seven films are already screening, with three more coming soon.
