RIP !!! Drummer Jerry Fuchs
The Guardian is reporting the sad and kind of bizarre news that !!! drummer Jerry Fuchs has died by falling down an elevator shaft. Fuchs and a friend, both attending a fundraising event in Williamsburg, New York on Sunday night, got stuck in a manual freight elevator between the fifth and sixth floors. The pair pried open the doors and attempted to jump the few feet to the fifth floor doorway. Sadly, Fuchs' clothing was caught on the elevator, and he fell to the bottom of the shaft. Besides drumming for the punk-dance outfit !!!, Fuchs was also a member of Maserati, Turing Machine and The Juan MacLean. He was 34.

Morrissey Gets Beaned, Leaves in a Huff
Fresh off a hospital stint following an on-stage collapse, Morrissey was back in form on Saturday night. Unfortunately, it was not meant to last for the brooding crooner. Two songs into his set at the Liverpool gig, Morrissey was hit with a projectile—what appears to be a plastic water bottle—and it so enraged him that he stormed off and canned the show. Sure, it sucks to get bonked on the head, but don't let one dum-dum ruin it for the hundreds of other people who paid to see you! Click here to see footage of the whole debacle.

A Fucked Up Christmas
Polaris Prize winners and hardcore revivalists Fucked Up are planning a little something special for the holidays. Singer Damian "Pink Eyes" Abraham has announced that the band is organizing an indie supergroup to cover the famed '80s singalong "Do They Know It's Christmas?" first made ubiquitous by Bob Geldof and Band Aid. The newer, and almost certainly awesomer, version will include guests ranging from members of Vampire Weekend, TV on the Radio, Broken Social Scene, No Age, Yo La Tengo, and the GZA, to comedian David Cross (Arrested Development). Proceeds from the recording will go to Justice for the Missing, a group for missing aboriginal women. Stocking stuffer!

Bon Jovi Goes Inside The Actors Studio For Some Reason
Jon Bon Jovi was in Ally McBeal forever ago. Richie Sambora played the character "Roach" on some TV show called Still Standing. Now, the whole band is gracing the set of Inside the Actors Studio for the show's season premier. Perhaps it is because the band has been named as NBC's Artist in Residence. Host James Lipton will no doubt want to probe the complexities of Bon Jovi's performance as "Pit Inmate Shot Back into Pit" in Young Guns II.
