10 Viva la Vida by Coldplay.

Combining a potent symbol of French revolutionary art with a Spanish language title is bound to cause a little confusion, but the noodle scratching doesn't end there. What an emotive symbol of freedom and aggression against the profligate ruling classes is doing on the cover of a band whose dull musings are the soundtrack for many a city-working, suburban-dwelling, centre-right-voting individual is beyond anyone with a questioning mindset. Coldplay's lack of self awareness is further compounded by Martin & co's French revolutionary get-up stage wear. It almost goes without saying that the upbringing, philosophy and musical output of Coldplay could not be more foreign to Jean Paul Marat or even Jean Valjean.

All things considered, the Scarlet Pimpernel aiding the French aristocracy would be more apt adorning a Coldplay sleeve.
