Day One: Wednesday, March 18, 2009
to Day Five: Sunday, March 23, 2009

Day One:
• Saw The So So Glos! Those kids rule!
• Damn, Moshe burnt his neck lobster-red already on the first day.
• Matt has vowed to wear every free article he is handed as part of the festival . . . I think his 100 free t-shirts will help him sympathise toward the pregnant women of the world. Second show was in an intense cycle yard – a wicked start for the band's moral! Nick hooked us up with love and handshakes.
• 3rd show of the day and all of our gear broke! It was pretty fun working around our technical difficulties though, and there was hardly a lull in energy. The posters for the show (Leafy Green Showcase) are so nice . . . that goes a long way.

Day Two:
• Starcleaner party! Met Shellshag and found out they are awsome folks! We played a short but sweet set of danceable goodies.
• We played our second show at Miss Bea's. We set up our gear to work perfectly and it did! Todd P and Eden are our favourite New Yorkers probably ever – they have the best taste and know how!
• That night, most of us went to see Dirty Projectors! Tomas went to the hotel early to play EarthBound (RPG Nerd Game) and write some ideas out onto paper. SO EXHAUSTED!! Saw juiceboxxx outside his hotel, that kid rules! Hes a party bomb!

Day Three:
• Holy shiz, today is the day we play four shows . . . (fast-forward) . . . boy that was intense. We played a living room, a used clothing store, a tent and a booty bar. You may guess which was our fave. The boys from LA's FMLY made us feel more than welcome hanging out with us at our earlier show and our last show at the booty bar. True friends make the difference!
• Afterward, Matt saw Devo and threw some art at them. Moshe went looking for a payphone and all he got was this lousy Dinosaur Jr. outdoor show . . . actually they were awesome and loud. We went to see Sebastien Grainger and The Mountains at Radio Room and from the outside we managed to say hello just minutes before some security douche stopped them from playing a song. Seb threw his guitar at the bouncer and then onto the floor in a rage . . . insane!

Day Four:
• Woke up and played a record store for breakfast. Matt & Moshe splurged on some LPs. Matt = Grand Wazoo (Frank Zappa), Indian zither album (?) , and his seventh copy of Carole King's Tapestry. Moshe = Storm & Stress, a Liars 10" & a VSS album.
• We hunted for the Moose Lodge (our second show) but had little luck finding it on time. So it goes.
• Our SXSW finale show was the best ever. Four stages X four bands = round-robin. We had the pleasure of trading off with Pterodactle, Ponytail & These Are Powers . . . (one song at a time).
• We ended up going to see The Mae Shi & they are completely friggen awesome! !!!!!!!!! a million exclamation marks we are more than happy to be friends with those amazing dudes!
• Moshe & Claxton went to see Daniel Johnston . . . he shook a lot and looked up very seldom. His backing band was not quite as impressive. The last song was awesome and sad as hell.
• Tomas was blown away by the Monotonix show where the singer was flying around body surfing like mad everywhere and the drums too! Somehow the drummer was playing while being bodysurfed around the club . . . god damn amazing!
SXSW is CHAOS. Jordan fell in love.
